8x8 Layout for a Gift Album
I really didn't use much product on this page compared to many of my other layouts. On a 8x8 layout, there simply isn't much room to go nuts, which i enjoy. Sometimes, less is more. The photo is of my friend Sarah and her beautiful family.
Family is the title, and I used clocks to represent time of course....Family Time. :-)
Products used:
Tim Holtz Masks-The Giant clock you see.
For those of you who are beginners, a mask is simply a clear overlay with a sticky backing. You adhere it to your page where you want the image. When you go over it with ink or paint-the colors move to the outside of the mask. When you lift the mask, you have a negative image like the clock above. I used Denim Blue Distress ink and Peeled Paint Distress Ink-both by Tim Holtz and Ranger and blended them together by using an ink dobber.
Ghost Clocks by Heidi Swapp
Ghost Letters by Heidi Swapp
Alcohol Ink by Ranger on the ghost letters "family" to give them their transparent color. I used both "Denim" and "Lettuce" colors of the ink, just dabbing it on with the alcohol ink applicator.
I adhered the transparent letters using Glossy Accents by Ranger.
You can achieve a similar look of the clocks by just using a stamp. There are some really cool clock stamps on the market that you can get for a really great price when using a coupon or when they go on sale. I enjoy Michaels.
For the title, you can substitute any letter stickers you have. Alter what you already have with ink or paint or whatever you have to match your layout.
I inked the edges of the photo to give it more depth and to also pop it off the white background a bit.
Thanks for stopping by!
Christine
